POSITION SUMMARY
The Dallas Animal Urgent Care’s (DAUC) Veterinarian is primarily responsible for the care of our patients and by extension, our clients. A successful candidate can direct, prioritize, and manage multiple patients simultaneously. Soft skills include working with clients, patients, patient care specialists, client experience specialists, and the other veterinarians.
Aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and flexible environment are preferred. Employees that are detail-oriented with a strong dedication to safety and patient care will meet with success. All candidates are subject to DAUC’s hiring guidelines.

TITLE: Veterinary Technician Assistant
POSITION: Full-time, Location: Euless/Midcities Animal Urgent Care
COMPENSATION: Non-exempt (hourly)
REPORTS TO: Business Director
POSITION SUMMARY
Dallas Animal Urgent Care is currently looking to add an experienced Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our amazing team. Aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and flexible environment are preferred. Employees who are detail-oriented with a strong dedication to safety and patient care will meet with success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist veterinary technicians in completing treatments as needed.
- Assist with canine and feline restraint.
- Assist with in-house diagnostics.
- Prepare medications.
- Wrapping and sterilizing surgical equipment and instruments.
- Refill assorted bottles.
- Restock supplies.
- Restock and maintain inventory in surgical suite.
Other Duties
- Maintain hospital and breakroom cleanliness.
- Keep up with washing/drying clinic laundry.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- The successful candidate will have the ability to:
- Work and adhere to a smoke-free, alcohol-free, and drug-free workplace.
- Wear PPE as required.
- Able to lift 50 pounds on occasion.
- Ability to sit, stand, move over uneven terrain, climb stairs.
- Able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time and through the majority of an assigned work shift.
- Flexible work schedule with the ability and willingness to work weekends or holidays if assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information received or learned while working at Dallas Animal Urgent Care.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to meet regular attendance requirements.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A High School diploma is required. College degree preferred or 2-year technical degree.
1+ years of veterinary experience
Spanish speaking preferred, but not required.

COMPENSATION: Non-exempt (hourly)
REPORTS TO: Business Director
The Mid-Cities Animal Urgent Care’s Patient Care Specialist is primarily responsible for care of our animal patients. A successful candidate has the ability to direct, prioritize, and manage multiple patients simultaneously. Soft skills include working with clients, patients, veterinarians, client experience specialists, and the managing partner.
Aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and flexible environment are preferred. Employees that are detail-oriented with a strong dedication to safety and patient care will meet with success. All candidates must be able to clear initial and random background checks, medical, and drug screenings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administering prescribed treatments.
- Running in-house lab samples.
- Performing radiographs.
- Drawing blood from all standard venous access points.
- Placing IV catheters.
- Inducing and monitoring anesthesia.
- Inputting notes and charges into the practice management system.
- Keeping the clinic in a clean and orderly state.
- Cross-trained in basic client experience responsibilities.
- Strong computer skills preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and various company software programs.
- Additional duties as assigned.
