Urgent Care Veterinarian
LOCATION: Dallas, Texas
POSITION: Full-time
COMPENSATION: Base commiserate with experience plus the opportunity for monthly production bonuses.

POSITION SUMMARY As an Urgent Care Veterinarian at Dallas Animal Urgent Care (DAUC), your primary responsible for the care of our patients and by extension, our clients. A successful candidate can direct, prioritize, and manage multiple patients simultaneously. We are looking for candidates who work well with clients as well as patients. We foster a team-player mentality and look for candidates who excel in this environment working with patient care specialists, client experience specialists, and their veterinarian peers. Aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and flexible environment are preferred. Employees that are detail-oriented with a strong dedication to safety and patient care will meet with success. All candidates are subject to DAUC hiring guidelines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The qualified veterinarian will successfully perform the following functions: Seeing medical and surgical cases throughout the day. Communicate with clients in-person and via electronic and telephonic means. Performing minor and major surgical procedures. Ensuring notes and charges in the practice management system are accurate and timely. Strong computer skills preferred. Working with paraprofessionals in a congenial and respectful manner. Additional duties as may be assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS The successful candidate will have the ability to: • Work and adhere to a smoke-free, alcohol-free, and drug-free workplace. • Wear PPE as required. Able to lift 50 pounds on occasion. Ability to sit, stand, move over uneven terrain, climb stairs. Able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time and through most of an assigned work shift. Flexible work schedule with the ability and willingness to work weekends or holidays if assigned. Maintain confidentiality of all information received or learned while working at DAUC. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to meet regular attendance requirements. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or an accepted equivalent degree Passing score on the NAVLE Veterinary licensure within the state of employment DEA Licensure or eligibility to obtain said licensure Minimum 1 year experience in fast-paced environment It is the commitment of Dallas Animal Urgent Care to ensure fair and equal treatment for everyone in our employ.
